Step 1. Select a Plan
Review our variety of floorplans on our website to find the one that fits you best. If there’s anything you’d like to change, let us know! Or, if you have your own plan, bring it to us for an estimate of what it will cost to build. Set an appointment with us to discuss your dream home.

Step 2. Decide where you build your home
Singletary Construction owns several lots in various communities throughout Clarksville. Decide which community suits you best and preview our vacant lots or we’ll build on a lot you already own.

Step 3. Seal the Deal
We’ll document the details of our arrangement in a contract. If you're building your home in one of our communities, the cost of the lot is included in the price of the home.
Along with your contract, you'll submit a non-refundable deposit to hold your lot. If you close on the home, in most cases that deposit will be credited toward your purchase. (We'll specify whether or not it is refundable in your contract.) You won’t need any additional cash until closing (unless you select upgrades during your decorative selections. See the next step!)

Step 4. Make your Decorative Selections

While we prepare the lot to begin construction on your home, you’ll visit our showroom to make your decorative selections such as your siding, brick, cabinet color, countertops, flooring and paint color. You’re welcome to upgrade these finishes if we don't have exactly what you're looking for. Any upgrades will be paid for at this time.

Step 5. The Framing Walk-Through
Before we install the drywall, you’ll have the opportunity to walk through the home, discuss the location of TV outlets, plan for the arrangement of furniture and review any design specifications. If anything doesn't feel right or doesn't fit with your vision of how you'll live in the home, now is the time to fix it!
After this step is complete, your work is done! Just sit back and watch your new home take shape!

Step 6. Walk-Through and Inspections
After about 90 days your home will be complete! You’ll be invited to conduct a "punch list" walkthrough where you’ll have the chance to examine the finished product and point out any cosmetic flaws you’d like us to address. If you prefer, you can also have a home inspector inspect the home for any components that might need attention. We will also take this time to familiarize you with the systems throughout the home and to explain the warranty program.
Step 7. Closing
Just before closing, you'll do one final walkthrough to make sure that all the items that were discovered in the previous inspections have been addressed and then you're off to the title company for the closing! After all the paperwork has been signed and funds exchanged, we'll hand you the keys to your new home!
