OUR HISTORY
From the Beginning
A third generation builder, Bert Singletary started in the home building industry back in the early '90's. His main focus was quality framing. The life of a home depends strongly on its structure. With that in mind, Singletary moved forward to set a new standard for the caliber of work in his field. In the mid '90's Singletary started working with homeowners directly for home additions and extensive remodeling. Given his background, he was able to see projects from a unique perspective.
Bert found his outlook to be particularly useful when he began home building consultation services in early 2001. Working with other home builders during his framing and consultation projects, he noticed the lack of quality in the area and the need for a higher standard of builder. In 2005, Singletary Construction was born. Since then Singletary Construction has grown to become the most professional custom home builder in the Middle Tennessee area.

Who We Are
Attention to detail doesn't come close to describing the unique qualities of a Singletary home. From the very first step to the last, we always have the homeowner in mind. There is no detail too small to be overlooked or ignored. Have you ever wondered why a door opened a certain way, or why a wall was shaped the way it was? These are some of the small things that can aid to the functionality and comfort in your new home, things that most builders won't care about.
With a long history in framing, we are well aware of the structural roadblocks that arise when designing your custom home. Our extensive knowledge allows us to take your custom home design further than anyone else. What are you waiting for? Contact us today and find out how you can get started on your very own Singletary Custom Home.

Building a Better Community
We take pride in being involved with and giving back to the Clarksville community. Since our inception, we have striven to be an upstanding part of the community. We sponsor many community and business events here in Clarksville, including the Annual Best of Clarksville Fundraiser, the Homes for Our Troops organization, Habitat for Humanity, and we have worked with the television show Extreme Makeover: Home edition to help a family right here in Clarksville.
Close to Our Heart
Extreme Home Makeover
In 2009 we were able to help again when Trina Scott and her three daughters needed it most. Trina's husband Dave was a former soldier and a Clarksville Police officer. Tragedy struck in 2002 when Dave was killed in the line of duty. Raising three daughters on her own and volunteering her free time to Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.) had left Trina with little time to care for her deteriorating house, which had been ravaged by termites. With the foundation eaten away, the house was on its last legs. After our team and the rest of the community got involved Trina now has a new home that will be safe for her and her daughters for many years to come.

Homes for Troops
In 2005 we had an opportunity to frame the home for Sgt. Rodriguez, a soldier whose convoy was tragically struck with a roadside bomb in Iraq. Rodriguez lost his right leg and two fingertips in the blast. After undertaking 16 Surgeries, Sgt. Rodriguez was able to walk again with the help of a prosthetic leg and crutches. But their small home was too narrow and awkward to accommodate his crutches and his new needs. It was an honor and a privilege to give this brave soldier and his loving family an accommodating home they can all be proud of.
In 2010 we were able to frame the house of SSG Heath Calhoun of the 101st Airborne Division. Calhoun lost both of his legs in Iraq when a rocket-propelled grenade hit his Humvee on November 7, 2003. It was a heart-warming and joyful experience for us to be able to help accommodate this deserving soldier by framing a new, open and accessible home for him and his family.
